Packed in a SANDISK bag. The envelope contained a clamshell plastic pack containing an 8GB MICRO SD CARD and adapter. I saved the CLAMSHELL holder and adapter for future use. I put a microSDHC SANDISK 8GB card in a GARMIN NUVI 1450. Some difficulties installing the card properly. Pressed on it until it clicked and held. Some difficulty reading the map with my computer with the GARMIN NUVI 1450 attached. Could not map the lower 49 states. The Garmin installer does not see the map. I removed the files from NUVI and uploaded the map to NUVI. POIs can be easily installed on the map with the GARMIN POI LOADER. POI LOADER saw the map with no problems. 8GB is the MAXIMUM size accepted by NUVI according to GARMIN. Other people have successfully used up to 16.
