Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Enhanced Stability and Versatility: Manfrotto MVA50A Fluid Base with Retractable Feet (Black) by Nicholas Serafini

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great addition to a photojournalist's travel kit

I have an old Manfrotto monopod with just a rubber cap. I removed the connector and installed the base on it with no problems. Fits perfectly. The liquid base was set to the maximum free position. Using an Allen wrench I was able to increase the tension to the level that suits me best. Since the photographer/videographer is often doing the same job with the same camera, even in the same place at the moment, having your feet there when you need them is very handy. I shoot on the D600 with a 24-70 2.8 VR lens. With the right tension, it keeps my shots stable, my pans smooth, and it can serve as a station for field interviews.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
