*REDACTED* Well, it looks like the issue has nothing to do with Viking, so I'm revising my review. Robert from Viking offered to ship me a brand new fully assembled stand for free! This, along with the build quality, price, customer support responsiveness, and right offering, raises my rating to an entry-level 5. Thanks Viking. I really like the rest of my Viking kit (razor, cream, etc.). ******************** Like a few other reviewers on here, I received my stand piece by piece, rattling in the box with no scratch guard. And no assembly instructions. Looking at the photos I was able to assemble most of it but the gold colored disc seems to be very tight in the base. I pushed it about 1/2 inch and it was very difficult for me to pull it out again. Shall I hit that thing with a hammer? It all looks well made and strong, but what's the quality control like when so many of these things aren't assembled before shipping?
