Review on ๐Ÿ’จ Vornado 573 Compact Air Circulator featuring Flat Panel Design by Claudia Bryant

Seems to be working as intended

I have an old Dell PowerEdge R900 server under a large desk in my home office. This makes utilities very happy because they use so much heat that they need extra energy to keep the house cool. I bought this Vornado 573 fan to see if I could create better airflow - my office is at one end of a "large room" separated by a freestanding stone fireplace. The server is on a furniture cart so I can pull it out to access the back panel ports or remove the cover for cleaning. I'm just as interested in keeping the beast cool and the space it's in. I first tried putting a fan on the floor in front of one of the two intakes to try and help the fans draw in more air. If it worked I would buy another one and create more obstacles on the ground. This arrangement didn't seem to cool the server or the room very much. Then I tried to put the fan on the server cover as far back as possible and direct its airflow from me to the other side. of a large room that has a ceiling fan to move the air. It doesn't seem to help the server much, but it does make it cooler where I'm sitting. I think the fan is quiet at low to medium speeds, but you can't really hear it due to the server noise. This is the goalkeeper.
