I take a lot of portraits when I'm artistic. It helps me a lot to have lots of colored pencils for portraits. As far as color goes, I'm pretty picky. COLORS The colors here are perfect. If they added steel blue (eyes) that would be perfect. TEXTURE These pencils are pretty nice and smooth. They are soft enough to be touched or layered easily. FEATURES I like the way they work. I have to be careful with light layers as they don't layer as heavily as some professional brands but they are still very good. BOTTOM LINE These pencils make a great set for portraits. I love how they blend in with color and the colors in this set help me flatter all skin tones. MY RATING IS FIVE STARS. I really like this set. The quality is pretty good and the colors are great for my portrait collection. I like layering colors for a variety of looks - sometimes the more the better for me.
