I'm a big fan of QNAP, especially NAS, but this product is really disappointing. These switches simply stop random traffic, typically after 24-48 hours (with 3 ports of 2.5 Gb/s). I had the same behavior with two of them and returned both. This could be related to the thermals, as heavy traffic (download or streaming) over a long period of time will cause this to happen more often. Fan airflow didn't seem to help much. Opening a ticket in QNAP was a bit of a hassle as the serial number was not recognized and they had no replies.
