Very easy to set up and if you can't figure it out the customer service is amazing. I used the included SimHero (they just started using it before adding the AT&T sim) and it's GREAT - it comes preloaded with 500 photos and their cheapest plan is $7. The camera still works with AT&T, but I use SimHero - it has the same signal as AT&T or T-Mobile. I am most interested in IR photos/videos of our Datscha wild hedgehog. The setting options make the camera very versatile, especially in this price range. I also have a SpyPoint camera but the night vision photos aren't that great and we don't always get photos on our phone which is important to me considering the camera is 4 hours away. The first night I got nothing! Maybe the memory card was set up wrong, after a few manual exposures I tried it again and it worked. I've used it for several nights and have come to the following conclusions. With fast-moving objects (hedgehogs are surprisingly fast), if you set Image + Video, by the time the camera snaps a photo and is ready for a video, there's nothing left. I've had much better results with just video or image x 3. Our hedgehog and cats activate PIR set to Normal at 15 meters with ease. From my research, 56 IR LEDs are probably the best out there. The LEDs' "missing glow" doesn't seem to be visible to cats, but a few of them came to check it out during the day. They didn't seem concerned, just curious. It looks like the hedgehog can't see them either. I had about 50 videos last night, 50 x 20(s) = 1000s = about 16 minutes. In theory, that means the battery will last less than 24 nights, and that doesn't include the setup and display on the LCD. But the results are worth it, so either buy good batteries, a solar panel, or build a 6V power supply for the camera. . I was amazed to find that we have 2 hedgehogs who are not friends judging by the fight! All in all a great mobile gaming camera, photo quality and impressive night vision. Getting photos on my phone is the best part!
