Review on Induction cooker Kitfort KT-108, silver by Franciszka Falkowska ᠌

Good value for money, I recommend.

I tried induction for the first time in 2022 with friends. After using plates of a different type, it was unusual, but quickly got used to it. I liked it so I decided to buy one for myself. I chose for a long time, did not consider sensory models due to personal negative experience with other household appliances. I settled on the Kitfort KT-108, as it is one of the few models with an electronic-mechanical control panel with real buttons and a rotary adjustment knob. At the same time, the panel is located below the work surface, which allows the use of large-diameter dishes without problems for controlling the stove. About my copy: made on 05202222 in China, power - 2022 W, weight - 2.1 kg, power cord - 135 cm, warranty period - 1 year, service life - 2 years. The packaging is a box of thick cardboard with a carrying handle, designed in black and purple, externally attractive. Included: instruction manual, branded magnet (you can check the cookware for compatibility with the stove), warranty card and advertising leaflets. The manual states that the main components of the plate are supplied by Siemens, Toshiba and Motorola. Build quality, no complaints. The plate has a new design of the working surface - more strict, without the image of a red whale. In my opinion, it got better. The result of checking the operation in all modes (with and without timers) is excellent, all controls and controls work clearly, without errors. Main features: 1) this stove is not suitable for dishes made of aluminum, glass and other non-bottom made of ferromagnetic materials; 2) during the heating of the stove, the cooling fan runs constantly (this is necessary and typical for all stoves of this type). Noise is not too loud, does not annoy me. There was a slight smell of plastic when the plate was heated, but it practically disappeared during the first day of active operation. For a month of work - no problems. In general, I think that the stove has more real advantages than disadvantages, and it meets my basic needs. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Pros
  • 1) high efficiency and economy; 2) the operability of the plate is declared in the voltage range of 100-270 V (at the same time, 220-240 V is indicated on the box and the plate. It was not possible to check what actually happened); 3) a wide range of power levels - from 120 W to 2022 W; 4) several levels of protection; 5) very fast heating directly of the dishes with the contents, and not the working surface of the stove (in this case, the dishes can be 1-2 cm above the stove); 6) the possibility of using dishes with a bottom diameter of 7 cm or more with the recommended 12-26 cm (personally verified); 7) the maximum weight of dishes with contents (directly on the stove) - up to 10 kg, and on the simplest stands, without load on the stove - much more; 8) the presence of timers - operating time, delayed start and auto-shutdown; 9) Detailed operation manual describing the principle of induction heating.
Cons
  • 1) a short service life is declared; 2) heating works continuously only from the level of 1000 W, at lower power levels it is pulse-periodic with a large adjustment step: 120-300-600-800-1000-1200-1400-1600-1800-2022 W (there is no big trouble in this , but a smaller step would be more convenient); 3) 10 power modes, 10 temperature modes and 8 cooking programs are declared on the stove packaging, but in fact 4 programs ("Basic", "Milk", "Porridge" and "Water") and 10 power modes are available for selection. At the same time, the choice of power is available only in the "Basic" program, and in the programs "Milk", "Porridge" and "Water" it, as well as the auto-off timer (respectively - 300 W / 20 minutes, 1000 W / 2 hours and 2022 W / 25 minutes), cannot be changed. You can regulate the temperature only approximately - by choosing a program or power, focusing on the table in the instruction manual and personal experience; 4) in the "Basic" program there is no delayed start timer, and the cooking timer can be set to a maximum of 4 hours. At the same time, the manual states that the auto-off timer in this program is 24 hours, but in fact, if there are no commands, the stove turns off after 2 hours (if the cooking time timer is not set for a longer time limited to 4 hours); 5) in my opinion, the programs "Milk", "Porridge" and "Water" are superfluous (even if there is a 24-hour delayed start timer). I would gladly refuse them in favor of adding a delayed start timer to the "Basic" program and increasing the cooking time timer to 24 hours; 6) the instruction manual is not bad, but still contains errors. For example, on the adjusting knob it says: "Clockwise rotation decreases the value, counterclockwise rotation - increases", but in fact - the opposite (and good, because it's more familiar); 7) the stove does not have a power switch, and it can only be disconnected from the mains by removing the plug from the socket (otherwise, the dotted line will flash constantly on the display).
