Beware of the metal buckle

At first I was satisfied with this collar. Appears to be well made and is partially padded for comfort when used with a leash. The tag on the outside of the collar annoyed me, but oh well. buckle problem. It's heavy, and because the dog needs to be loose to be comfortable, the metal at the bottom twists under the neck. The attached picture shows the underside of my poor dog's throat after a week with this collar. It's covered in blood and raw, most likely due to a combination of a chafing buckle and an allergic reaction to it. We'll get back to the plastic buckle collar once she's better.
