Really amazing!

Honestly I'm amazed at how good this little welder is for the price and how small and light it is. I grew up learning how to weld on my dad's old cracker box air conditioner. I later bought some small cored wire welders, the last of which is a pretty decent DC machine. These little welders are also great for small jobs and convenience when you don't want to lug around a huge machine or can't outsource the work to a machine at a shop or similar. However, wire becomes expensive over time. That's where this little machine comes in. It has the advantages of low cost and size/weight over small wire welders, smooth DC machine welding (because there's only one), and uses cheap rods instead of wire. I've played with it and welded some scrap pieces, both 110 and 220. It will definitely weld thicker materials at 220, but to be honest it fits 90% of what I do at 110. It makes it very easy to weld almost anywhere. I was impressed with the quality of the rod holder and floor clamp. The ground clamp is better than the one that came with my "brand name" welders and just as good as the ones I've bought for my other machines. The cords may seem short at first, but the machine is so small and light that you can easily take it to work. LOL Great little machine for those who want a light to medium job welder in their home or garage. It will handle 1/4 plate and probably more at 220.
