I had the opportunity to take them on a 15 mile bike ride, it ended up in rain halfway through so they got wet. No problem, my fingers stayed almost dry the whole time, just a little bit of moisture seeping in. They dried well, didn't shrink and didn't smell afterwards. Okay, let's get on with the writing. At the time of writing my review, they were only $15, so there's definitely a bang for your buck. The padding is thicker than my glove brand and is in the correct position for my straight bar hybrid bike. Perhaps the only minor oddity was that the side of the thumb also has pads and that doesn't make sense to me. It doesn't bother you, but it takes some getting used to. Eventually I was able to ride 15 miles without feeling a single handful of needles and needles. I still felt a little soreness but I would say they are above average for the amount of padding. Can't speak long term but based on general build quality I would expect them to last 2-3 years. Velcro also holds normally, there are no problems. And another nice touch are the two "tabs" to help you get your gloves off after a long ride, because we all know having cut gloves hurts!
