Review on Schneider Electric Solar Inv 817 3000 by Duane Hayes

This is actually a 3000w Xantrex 817-3000 inverter (not the 2000w inverter in the picture). Also, this inverter does NOT have the built-in charger listed in the description (817-3000 should not have a built-in charger). You should get the right item, just ignore all the details. I CAN run a 15,500 BTU AC device with this inverter. The microwave will work just fine. It will NOT work for more than 20 seconds (theoretically 2600 watts) on both AC and microwave. This could be due to my 4 lead-acid batteries or the inefficiency of the devices (the inverter screen showed more than 3,000 kilowatts). I'd suggest going with 5000w and lifepo4 batteries if you want a true 30amp link replacement, but this thing gets closer. Good enough for my budget. I hope "you get what you pay for" is true for this brand. The time will show. The connections were light and well protected. The body is durable and easy to assemble. Overall it looks very high quality.
