This set of 3 is your best choice when choosing OEM filters. Of course there are much cheaper alternatives on the secondary market, but since these filters last 9-12 months for me (we already have good water from the city), the monthly costs are very low. In my case, the primary goal is to remove the chlorine smell from the water so that the filters last quite a long time. Even after 11 months of using my existing filter, the filter is still delivering strong flow and great flavor. Changed just to be aware. I have used cheaper aftermarket filters in the past with some undesirable results in terms of build quality or how long the filter will last for a few months. I like to stay with the OEM. The included filters were legal, complete with a 'hidden' LG watermark on the logo that was only visible under a bright light source. No fake.
