Amazon says the maximum power of PV modules is 625W, but the literature says that the charging output power is 625W and the input power of the PV module is 625W W is more than 920 watts. There is no user guide on their website to confirm the exact count. I could probably use a 30 or 40 amp controller for 610 watt panels, but Amazon lists the nominal charge power as the panel input. (50 amps at 12.5V = 625W when charging). You won't know the maximum PV input the controller can handle until you get hard-to-read instructions. The screws to be covered are very difficult to align. Cheap screw heads and recesses that were too deep had me working on just putting a screwdriver on the screw. I'm a mechanic, it shouldn't be that difficult. You say 6 gauge wire but in the manual you could "use thicker" but a 2 gauge car battery wire will not fit unless you cut the wire to about 6 gauge. Why did they put the temperature sensor connector so far back? My fingers were squeezed hard to properly twist and slide the wire into place. I've done some complex car repairs that require less ninja skill than this one. I didn't have a chance to read the instructions before they got lost. There are odd numbers that are not intuitive. For example, when scrolling through the menus on the main controller, there are simply random numbers in the "Boot" section. Loading: 117. 117 what? We always learned in math class to use units so the next person can understand what you're talking about without having to refer to you. It would be nice if that were the case on the controller. It seems to be charging the battery though. It's only been a day so I can't comment on its performance as an MPPT. Oh, and don't even tell me how slow they were at shipping that thing. They first told me I would get it on Thursday so I drove home to make sure I got it and found they were sending 3 packages instead of one and it was supposed to be here on Saturday. So I was held hostage to wait all Saturday only to be disappointed when he didn't even show up. It pops up on Sunday, I missed my mother's 65th birthday party because I had to wait for delivery. Total tracking/shipping from Revain took me about 4 days.
