Bought these to level a new workbench I was building for my basement. i love the little things I usually run to Lowes to pay the extra $5 for steel screws for something like this. There are no lock nuts, but I'm not sure you'll need them. Setting them up unintentionally will take some effort. I was apprehensive at first, but my bench weighs 100 pounds unloaded and moving it inside didn't seem to make a difference. Part of this may have to do with the way the head of the foot attaches to the nose flange adjustment screw (probably not the best term) which fits into the end of the screw. It retains the intrinsic flexibility of the foot with no real attachment to the bolt, making accidental bolt adjustment much more difficult. I'm sure this could happen, but I don't see a problem unless you're moving something very heavy where there's serious friction, but if that were the case I'd be more concerned about the coating on the damaging foot.
