Review on 🌀 Coleman Cool Zephyr Ceiling Fan with Light: Ultimate Comfort and Illumination by Erik Richardson

I bought this fan because the tent we bought didn't have a rain cover and we were hoping it would help move the air. In short, it is not! Cons:1 He is weak! I expected MUCH better quality and durability from Coleman. Except for the large (and heavy) magnet, this fan is made entirely of plastic and foam. I am afraid to give it to children because I am afraid they will break it or drop it.2 The fan is noisy! OMG, as light as it is, I was blown away by how loud it is! I like that it can scare away large animals.3 In a large tent (we had an eight-person tent) it's almost useless as a fan. The only way to feel airflow is by being directly underneath, and even then we didn't feel much airflow at altitude. In a small tent, this *might* be more useful. 4 magnet and steel bracket could do with a bit more. Clarification IMHO. I don't like the roughness of the magnet; However, the steel bottom is well smoothed. Since I don't have a raincoat, any little scratch this thing can leave is a BIG problem for us! I particularly don't like that the instructions say you have to rotate the magnet and piece of steel to get it out of the tent. I wish they would at least cover the magnet with a smooth plastic coating. *Something* to protect the tent! Advantages: 1 It has two levels of LED backlight. Even in the large 8 person tent we had enough height to see most of what we needed to see. It also has a low setting, which is an amber light (night light?).2 It *shouldn't* use a magnet/steel mount. This is a clip that is built into the base of the fan and can be used without a magnet if your tent has roof mounts (light loops/tools/hooks). This is how we used it. If I could have found it at a hardware store where I could feel/see how flimsy it was, I would never have bought this fan. There are many custom made tent lights that would serve us better than this fan/lamp.
