This over the door hook is fashion and durable. I live in an old house with real wooden doors. They are thinner than the hollow doors used in houses today. When I first hung it outside my door it was loose and could easily come off. I removed the channel locks and bent them slightly so they fit snugly. It worked great. I have two of these to hang my jackets on and although it's summer I've tried them and they work well. If I were hanging heavy jackets I could probably only hang 3 or 4 due to the distance between the hooks. The hooks are also great for hanging belts, scarves, ropes and anything else you want to hang up. Even with heavier jackets, the hooks are strong.
