I've had terrible blistered heels for years. When I go for a pedicure I pre-shave and file my calluses and they still comment on how bad my legs are! Before using this kit, I used a European foot file in the shower almost every day and a callus shaver 2-3 times a month. My issue was that although the razor removed fairly dry, calloused skin, my skin remained very tender (sometimes it hurt to walk) for several days. And if I only used a European foot file, I wouldn't be able to maintain it for long. I've been using this file set for a week now and my feet are better than ever! for some people - if your feet get calloused enough and the calluses get thick and cracked, the hard, dry skin is actually making the crack worse, and you can end up with a crack that bleeds and doesn't heal until you take care of the callus . To use, I either dip my feet in a bucket of water or use them after a shower. I've found that I need to let them dry a bit for them to be most effective. I usually wait about a minute before starting on the most complex file. Then I reduce the number of files until I get to a thin file. I've gotten to a point where I no longer need to use the largest files on a daily basis, maybe once a week. Note. The smallest file has a plastic protective film on both sides. which has a blue cast. You must remove this before using these files.
