I've had 2 of these for over a year now. I use them monthly and the ribs are as strong as the day they arrived. Maybe in a year the professional traveler will change their mind, but for advanced amateurs they are ideal. The best thing is the black backing which is very easy to remove and put back on. Obviously outdoors the 45 will catch the wind and tip over much more easily than the smaller 36, so make sure you have good racks even if you don't. weighs a lot.
