Review on 🌞 3M Anti-Glare Filter for 15.6" Widescreen Laptop: AG156W9B – Reduce Glare for Crystal Clear Display! by Corey Burgess

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Suitable for indoor use in bright light but not for outdoor use.

Yes, everything is fine. 3M is known as a great brand and when I needed an anti-glare screen for my laptop I went for it. It fits my Dell 3750 laptop quite well. To be honest it was the next size up as they don't make it on purpose. I wish Dell hadn't put a glossy glass screen on my laptop and it would look more like my matte finish desktop displays. But this review belongs to the Dell website :) I bought this hoping it would reduce glare/reflections when using my laptop outside in the sun. Unfortunately it didn't work out so well. When I first tested it at home, it looked good and diffused the light well. But in very strong sun it didn't work as well as I had hoped. While it definitely minimizes and diffuses glare and will probably work well in an office where you don't want light bouncing back at you, outside in bright sunlight the sun seems spread across the screen, making it even harder to see . I don't know how else to describe it, but the film clearly picks up and diffuses light. This works well for artificial lights, but the sun creates so much light that it just doesn't help. And yes, I sat in the shade.
