Not as good as Lensmate
I have this for my A6500 and the thumb grip fits (even with the small rig cage). I also have a Lensmate thumb grip and prefer the Lensmate. The Lensmate sits almost flush with the top of the camera body and feels more durable in use. In contrast, Fotodiox is not flush. It has a cold shoe on top and the thumb rest protrudes slightly from the top of the camera body. Also, the Fotodiox thumb-joint grip has some play, so you don't get the same confidence as you did with the Lensmate. I ended up installing this on my A6000 (backup camera) and installing Lensmate on my A6500.
