Review on Keihin CV 20709 πŸ”§ Carburetor Rebuild Kit by Cycle Craft by Drew Springer

Missing items and cheap quality.

Do yourself a favor and buy a genuine James Pad set, save yourself money and headaches. Of course it costs around $40-$45 online or at your local Harley dealership, but my goodness the quality is worth it. This kit is pure junk and half of what is pictured is missing. 1) Missing parts. 2) The bowl and accelerator pump gaskets are cheap hard plastic, not the typical rubber like in the James kits or the others I usually buy. 3) The accelerator pump diaphragm looks like it will outgas in a few months, it's so cheap, not to mention it's smaller and doesn't fit properly in the groove without stretching it, which I did on a James never had kit . Also, rubber shrinks over time when exposed to gas and heat, so it's likely to leak or fail prematurely (it leaked when the bike started! Ugh) 4) The shipping packaging was in perfect condition when it arrived. but the item looks like someone crumpled up the bag in their hand and tossed it in the bag causing everything to become tangled and curling up and tearing 1 of 2 pads. 5) Like the other reviewer, the accordion-like rubber accelerator pump cover is so cheap I couldn't imagine riding it for a season without falling apart. 6) Yes, went to the local Harley dealer, bought my regular James kit and as always she's back on her feet πŸ‘Œ7) Would you recommend this kit? Only if you sell your bike within a week lol otherwise NO I wouldn't recommend considering the quality and that it leaked from the start and if not it probably would have happened during my first trip. You get what you pay for.
