I bought this meter to get started with what I feel is in line with modern technology. It's accurate, very readable, and the features pretty much have everything you need. I love it and use it, but the mode selection is a button on the side so you have to go through everything to look for the function you want, which I think takes time and you have to grab the device with one hand to access it do. I guess I'm just old school, but now I'm missing the dial! It has a temperature probe mode that can be set to F but defaults back to C, boo! The instructions are very short; don't even mention the steps for reading the temperature in Fahrenheit.
