Outside of this range you will see an accuracy of +/- 11%.> The markings on the handle are difficult to read. I bought this 1/4 Bulltools torque wrench primarily for home bike repair and maintenance. Before use, I checked its accuracy with a calibrated digital torque meter (HIOS HP-100). The test range is limited to 90 in-lbs. as this is the maximum capability of the torque meter. I only tested for clockwise accuracy. Percent error is based on the average of five measurements at each setting: 20 inches per pound: Average reading = 22.24 inches per pound. (Percent Error = 11.2%) 40 in-lbs: Average = 40.36 in-lbs. (Error percentage = 0.9%) - Impressive! 60 in-lbs: Average = 57.48 in-lbs. (Percent Error = 4.2%) 80 in-lbs: Average = 70.86 in-lbs. (Percent Error = 11.4%) 90 in-lbs: Average = 79.33 in-lbs. (Percent Error = 11.9%) I tested again at 90 in-lbs. using the weight method and a 13 kg dumbbell. After the actuator was threaded through the bushing, I tried hanging the barbell at different distances from the actuator to the handlebars, starting at 5 inches and working outward to see where it "clicks". The key consistently breaks/clicks 6 inches from the center of the drive, which is 78 in-lbs. The values on the calibration certificate show a clockwise percentage error of less than 1% at three different settings. The percent error I got with five different settings doesn't seem to match the certificate as my results range from 0.9% to 11.9%. Unfortunately I had to resort to this as I need a torque wrench with an accuracy range greater than 40-60 in-lbs. (4.51-6.77Nm). Otherwise I would just buy the 5Nm preloaded torque.
