I bought a universal soldering iron with a stand, but the "helping hands" didn't stay where I put them. After wrestling with this for an hour, I gave up and bought a magnetic helping hand. It was exactly what I had hoped for. I only needed flexible auxiliary arms (no board holder); The arms were very flexible and stayed in place once installed. The magnets are very strong and will hold your hands securely in place. Worth the extra cost. I understand why all their reviews are very positive.
