I used this for ice fishing, VERY bright. After purchase I found the sonar battery only lasted about 5 minutes on these baddies. I bought a lawn and garden 32RC (load 25 amps for 32 minutes), a 23 (Ah) amp hour battery with 330 cca (cold cranking amps). FYI means it will run 32 minutes at 25 amps to 11 volts I think and can handle 23 amps for 1 hour. I did the math, so 25 amps in 32 minutes. (120W) 1 light bar produces 10 amps, 2 light bars (240W) produce 20 amps. Watts ÷ 12V (your current) = Amps of the light bar. To get the run time I did 25 amps (power of my battery) ÷ amps (10-20 amps for lights) = 2.5-1.25. I then multiplied that by the running time of 25 amps. 2.5 or 1.25 x 32 (minutes) = 40-80 minutes of run time. ***I hope I'm right***. So a $35 battery will last 40 minutes with this system, or 80 minutes at half power. I hope I'm right, and I hope laying this out helps others when they come across my dividend, which requires a lot of power, with no generator/vehicle in the mix.
