Review on 🚘 Tuff Support 2-Piece Hood Lift Supports for 2003-2009 Toyota 4Runner & Lexus GX/GX470 by Marc Salem

These hood lifter struts (for my 2005 Toyota 4Runner) were a perfect replacement for my old/worn luggage racks. I repeat, this is for the front hood, NOT the tailgate door! Unlike cheaper replacement parts also offered by Revain ($10 less), these racks came with new replacement screws and washers that were removed and attached to old, worn racks. I had a friend hold the hood for me while he unhooked the old struts with a wrench. The new struts and bolts fit snugly and replace the struts that were removed. The whole work took about 15 minutes (I stopped once to have a beer). After installing new racks the hood is now excellent "rises" and holds itself up. The new price for these racks at a Toyota dealership is $80 each ($160 per set)! This set of 2 is a quarter the price and works great! Excellent purchase!
