Switched from 2-40 Series Flowmasters to 1 Walker Tru-Fit

Great muffler for the price! 10 years ago, when I was young and rowdy, I put 2-40 series pins on my truck. As I got older I got tired of hearing loud exhaust noises, especially for my neighbors since I work the night shift and my Silverado 04 is pretty loud on cold starts. Anyway, short. I was very skeptical of the $30 universal muffler, but I ended up using a Magnaflow Y-pipe to join two exhaust pipes into one and then ran right into a walker. I originally had branch pipes so I reworked and welded on the end of my Flowmaster. The exhaust works wonderfully, in terms of performance I can't tell much difference to my Flowmasters. I'm sure I've lost a bit, but it's not noticeable. In terms of sound, which is a big plus, this muffler makes just enough sound to let you know you have a V-8 engine, but it won't wake anyone up or hear you on the radio. Oddly the exhaust seems louder at idle than at higher rpm, I don't know if it's because the engine noise drowns it out at this point but I'm still very happy with my purchase and if I had to do it again I would I am ordering the exact same muffler to replace my lute.
