Everything seems fine
After the dipping process, the filters got a slight "flavor". It passed quickly. We store water in a 2 liter plastic container for at least two years. Due to the cold snap in Texas, the water company is urging everyone to reduce their water consumption. We did. We tried drinking water from old bottles but it was tasteless. Cooking didn't help (instant pot), neither did just sitting for the day. We ran the weird tasting water through the filters and the water tasted great. We filtered the water which was clear but smelly.
