Review on Philips Hue Equivalent Compatible Assistant Industrial Electrical by Nathan Skipper

Great replacement

I needed to start replacing my old X-10 home automation modules with something that doesn't depend on the power line but still works when the internet isn't is available. It could still be controlled with my existing HCA home automation software and could also be controlled by voice using Alexa, Siri or Google Assistant. I researched several brands and chose Hue because it meets all my needs. Setup wasn't too difficult, I found it much easier to set up the bulbs if I installed them one at a time rather than all at once. Once you insert a bulb into the lamp, the Hue app will find it and give it a generic name like bulb1. If you only set up one bulb that's fine because you know it's bulb 1, but if you set up all the bulbs first and then go into the app you'll see bulb 1, bulb 2, bulb 3, bulb 4, but more steps are needed to figure out which one is in which lamp. The hub gives me the ability to control the lights with the app even when the internet is down as it uses a Wi-Fi connection to function and is not entirely dependent on an internet connection. Voice control isn't available as it requires an internet connection, but I knew it wasn't necessary and the internet wouldn't go offline for too long anyway. disappear and disappear. You can set the default dimming level in the Hue app and if the bulbs are voice controlled they'll turn on at the set level and you can tell your digital assistant what percentage of brightness you'd like.
