I needed a larger monitor to replace a 15 inch portable monitor for my temporary home office. A 24-inch monitor with only 1080P resolution won't be smooth for text if you're sitting next to it. But I was very curious to see how it compares to an IPS monitor. It was a tough comparison because IPS had higher frequency and most importantly it was 2K vs 1080P. I expected the VA panel to win in contrast. But because of this, IPS still looked better (and the price is higher). However, this monitor is much better than my old TN panel monitor in both color reproduction and contrast/brightness. The thin frame looks great on my desk and I don't mind placing the controls on the back. Personally, I prefer placing them under the front panel, but the truth is, if you don't switch graphics cards, the monitor is configured once. When I tested the monitor, the color reproduction was good, especially black. Good news As far as height adjustment goes, it's a VESA mount option - if you want to set a different sitting position due to the electric desk, you can get an adjustable desktop monitor mount. In my case, I adjusted the incline a bit and that was enough. This is not a fixed station. In this configuration, it outshines the portable 17 incher.
