At under five dollars and free shipping these are good sponge holders for the price. It has a simple but effective design and goes well with the white porcelain finish of our sink. To maximize their effectiveness, be sure to thoroughly clean and dry the mounting surface (the sink wall in our case), and you may even need to loosen the suction cup slightly before use. (Some of ours were deformed after being crushed in the shipping box). Here's what we did to make them work better: First, we really cleaned up the area where we were going to install the mount's suction cup. We applied a small amount of Comet Cleaner with a Scotch Brite sponge to ensure our sink wall was completely clean, then rinsed the wall with warm water and dried. We then placed the sponge holder in a bowl of hot water so that finger work loosened the suction cup a little and it regained its beautiful shape. Finally, we leave the suction cup slightly damp and attach it to the wall of our sink. For the most part they are holding up very well; Sometimes one of them will slide down an inch or two on impact. but we just put them back in. We have a double sink and are trying to install it where it doesn't bump. Four or five months seems to be the maximum lifespan we can get from a suction cup before it becomes too old to maintain good suction. We're happy with that given the price as these three packs will last well over a year. We have no problem putting typical Scotch-Brite dishwashing sponges (Scotch-Brite 3M Non-Scratch Scrub Sponges - Pack of 18) in this holder and it does the job well, staying in place and dropping the sponge pretty quickly dry. If you are looking for a sponge holder of this type in this price range and are willing to put in some effort to help with the installation process then we recommend this product.
