They work for your temporary needs.

This product is cheap for the quantity you get. I've been using them for over a year when visiting the hospital (and I can't wear cartilage piercings) and they have lasted and served me well on many visits. Sometimes the backs fall off if you move your hair a lot and the hair gets snagged or pulls out the ends - so it's temporary in my book. When I get home or have free time, I swap them out for my regular metal rivets. I would only recommend a government employee who needs them for clinics like me!
