This set packs a punch. You can make a candle once you receive the kit. I've made a lot of candles, but 20 years later I've long since given away my equipment. My only complaint is about the essential oils. Understand that there is a BIG difference between essential oils and fragrance oils. and while they are all labeled as essential oils (natural, extracted from plants), vanilla cannot be an essential oil. but it smells good. Lavender smells real. Mint - oh my god - it's awful and smells like camphor. And the bottles of "essential oils" are marked one ounce, but they don't even hold a tablespoon. There are two tablespoons in a fluid ounce, so that's not correct. I don't like the hype but overall it's a good set and worth the price. Candle jars are very pretty.
