After learning about the 4 way timer I decided I should have an extra one in case the first one broke or got damaged. I use this timer when cooking to set different times for food that I'm roasting, baking or chilling. For example, when I cook fried chicken, I set the first timer for 2 hours and the second for 1 hour 30 minutes. Then when the first timer goes off I pour the chicken and start mashing it. Then everything is done at the same time. Since I might be distracted from reading, it's good to know what this timer is tracking so I don't have to worry. Some features of this particular timer: 1. Large easy to read display (you don't need bifocals to read it!) 2. 24 hour countdown or countdown timer3. Also works like a clock4. Comes with two batteries (I've had a different timer for years and have never had to change batteries) 5. Good clear instructions with diagrams. Just a timer that's loud enough - not too loud like some timers can be. Magnet on the back so you can attach it to the side of the fridge 8. Four channels - track 4 times simultaneously9. Small and compact10. Rear hanging hole or clip Essentially a compact timer with all the features you need. I am very happy with it so far and tried it last time I was cooking and it worked great.
