I use this in my bedroom with a Sony STR-DH590 stereo for TV and Bluetooth for music. This subwoofer must be set up by connecting it to an AC power source and then connecting it to the stereo jacks via the RCA jacks from the stereo's "Subwoofer Out" jacks. Then it needs to be tuned or adjusted through the stereo system and then you can adjust the gain and crossover on the back of the unit. The subwoofer needs some break-in time to work properly, but it makes the windows shake and the walls vibrate. For a 10" size it hits 32Hz and has that resonant bass sound you can only get from a 12" or even a 15" subwoofer. The price was within the competition. A 12-inch Klipsch subwoofer was sold at Costco for the same price but had a smaller enclosure and was not on the Synergy Black Label. This is an improvement over the discounted models.
