wanted a santoku knife and looked at this and others, I had good experience with Victoinox and it was not disappointing, some people say it's light don't know it there is nothing to compare. The blade is sharp, well held and strong, without hesitation and unexpected bends. cuts very well, from carrots to cheese. I wish it had all the logos printed on it but it was enough to make sure it was the real Victoinox. Since all others are listed as selling the same model, this was the best deal.
