Review on Nalgene Bottle Carrier Handheld: Convenient Gray Holder for 32 Oz Bottles by Darren Boogie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everyone wants mine!

Great bottle cage! What I like best is the grip. These 32 ounce bottles from Nalgene are sometimes difficult to grip with one hand (I have small hands), but now I can just slip my hand through the handle and wrap my arm around the bottle and I can hold it securely with no effort. Problem. The design is so strong that sometimes I even lifted the bottle by the handle without even putting my hand on the bottle! And the carrier is attractive enough that I've had many compliments from other people who want to know where I got it from! I only have three issues with the carrier: 1) The top opening is narrower than other carriers and makes it difficult to push bottles through. I've been learning how to do this in the last 5 months since I bought it, but it's still annoying. The bottle fits well once in, but the process of *getting* it is difficult. 2) The small side pocket is *really* small. It only holds very small/flat items. It's also entirely mesh, so you can't put anything inside that can snag (like some keychains) or anything you don't want visible from the outside (like money). , which makes my bottle significantly wider than it was. I could of course see the padding in the photo, but I didn't realize how much it would affect my bottle's ability to fit in the side pockets of some backpacks. 32oz Nalgene bottles no longer fit in many, but the padding on this carrier limits the range even further. Kind of vinyl and mesh. They are in at least two completely separate layers. I travel a lot to Hawaii and my previous wetsuits used to sweat profusely there because of the humidity, so I've been clutching a water bottle that looks like a wetsuit straight out of the ocean: sticky and gross. As this one isn't neoprene I'm looking forward to my next ride to see if this option is any better in wet weather. i expect it
