The sound of this toy is nothing like the classic giggling Elmo. Bought for a 2 year old who loves the classic Elmo giggle but she didn't even recognize the giggle and actually cried. The voice was very muffled even with new batteries. While the body is soft, the eyes are very hard. So if it spins and touches it could cause serious injury. He is also very small.
