I am very happy with this hob. Completely flat surface with easily removable handles for easy cleaning. I'm not good at dealing with spills when cooking and often have 3 or 4 burners going at once so using a razor scraper on a burnt mess is important and works great. Then buff with your choice of ceramic facestock cleaner. This item comes with a sample. I chose this product to replace another brand I bought from Revain last year and decided not to install it when I found that Bern was connected to wiring that wasn't even large enough to to run it safely, let alone plug it into my feed panel from August 6th. Revain finally recognized me after pushing hard and escalating over safety and fire hazards, although I had the hob for months before trying to install it and realizing the problem. It was a Chinese brand and yes, this Frigidaire is also made in China. But comparing the overall quality between them is like night and day. This device just seems sturdier and more durable. The wiring is perfect for most American homes and the instruction manual really makes sense. In terms of performance, wow. I've had LPG for years and haven't had electricity for a long time. I wasn't expecting a slow response compared to the gas, but that aspect has come a LONG way. The burners are finely tuned and respond quickly to changes in the input signal. Fast boil/high temperature on burner with high input, lower right - FAST. I tested the bacon on high power, no kidding, 2 or 3 minutes and done. I am so happy with my hob.
