Setup was ez

Plus installation was ez. I didn't use screws because they were too short. I went into the siding with 1 and 1/2 lag screws. Added clear outer sealing for screws and sockets. - Price was fair - Feels good. Cons - Installation guide was ok but could be better - Needs longer set screws. I will report after further tests - after installation. Leave the panel in direct sunlight for a full day before first use. I noticed that the Outdoor WYZE Cam only holds a power charge but does not charge the camera. So I disconnected the panel from the outdoor WYZE cam and charged the camera to 97% with a portable power bank. The next day I reconnected the solar panel and it charged the camera to 100% and has held up ever since. I will continue to monitor it for the next 60 days and will let you know if there are any issues. The big advantage is that I don't have to take the camera off to charge it. I plan to clean the lens annually. Update: We've had a few rainy days lately and the camera dropped below 60%. Of course that was because there was no sun, my outdoor WYSE camera was mounted 12ft above the garage and set to paranoid mode (i.e. motion detection (high) and recovery time (low)). So instead of taking the camera off to charge. I bought a set of vinyl wall covering hooks and 20000mah portable solar power bank charger, waterproof backup battery charger and solar panel charger here at Revain. The charger comes with a clip that I hung on a steel hook next to the camera. I just misplaced a micro USB cable from the power adapter to the camera. Surprisingly, the camera charged quickly and was back to 97% in less than a couple of hours. A really cool feature is the long-lasting external battery. So if you are drawn to work on honey dos. You do not have to worry. It's built like a tank. You can easily leave the external battery for several hours or overnight. I hope it helps! Last update 03/28/21: The solar panel has been running like a champ for a few months. I also noticed that the solar panel works in a similar way to a power bank. So it charges the WYZE Outdoor Cam for several days and then abruptly stops charging the camera. You will notice that after 3-4 days (under constant sun exposure) the power level of the camera will slowly drop from 100% to 80%. I believe this gives the solar panel time to charge before the constant power supply comes back on. The camera starts to load again by the middle of the fourth day at the latest. It returns to 100% at the end of the 5th day. As I mentioned earlier, I keep my portable power bank as a backup. But unfortunately he didn't see much action as the solar panel worked as intended. Hope that helps!
