Works with Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter

I connected my previous iMac to an additional monitor using the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter. I wanted to connect this additional monitor to my new 2017 iMac which only supports USB C. The additional monitor only supported DVI. This adapter allowed me to connect my new iMac to the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter that connects to my secondary monitor. Works perfectly.
