Meets your expectations

This is a 4A flying capacitor active balancer with no user adjustable parameters or the ability to control its operation. You MUST make sure it is properly connected by measuring the voltage at the plug BEFORE plugging in the device. The device shuts down at 3.0V to prevent attempts to align cells to their lower SOC. The transmission rate is directly related to the delta over the entire burst. It does an excellent job of balancing at a high level, and I intend to ONLY turn the unit on when the battery is fully charged (i.e. via the "Run" connectors on the board). To ensure the Heltec unit turns on automatically, I added a programmable zener diode with a reed relay coil acting as a 1kΞ© cathode resistor, with the zener diode set to conduct at 3.4 volts, which causes Current is drawn through the reed relay coil. NC contacts that connect to Heltec's "running" contacts, making it work automatically when the battery is almost fully charged, but turn it off when the battery is a bit low. The reason for turning it off is to prevent it from constantly trying to equalize to 3V, since the top is the ONLY place where equalization is appropriate. and I have data showing that after a Heltec active battery has been in this state of equality throughout the battery for several hours, the battery tends to remain very well balanced during discharge and recharge cycles. The Heltec mesh at the top ensures the pack stays well balanced over time.
