We have a 20 year old Samsonite swivel bag with swivel wheels that are dry rotted. We were keen to keep the bag and replace the wheel assembly but due to the age I couldn't even find the bag let alone the wheels. Tried these and they worked great! After removing the old wheels from the wheel mount with a hacksaw, I just put them back in place and we're back in business (travelling). What a great solution! I really liked the choice of two axle lengths as it's not easy to determine the exact dimensions of the old axle until it's removed. And although there was some gunk on the axle bolts, I added some Locktite 242 (blue solvable formula) to hold the new bolt axle together. BIG TIP: Leave the wheel assembly in your luggage when you cut through the old axle if you can; It's a lot easier to cut the old axle if you don't have to try to attach the wheel to anything in the process.
