Apparently American Tourister didn't intend for people to carry their suitcases long enough for the wheels to fall apart on their own (maybe 10 years max ? ), so it was the perfect replacement. As the originals are riveted you will need a hammer and punch to knock out the old axles which you can then use to remove the broken wheels.
