Doesn't clean lenses completely

I bought this lens cleaner for my Quest 2 a while ago and have used it several times. But it only smudges the lenses and streaks appear on the lenses. I now use the microfiber cloths that came with my reading glasses and they do the job better. I really wanted the pen to work and I read the instructions very carefully, tried and tried but to no avail. Only this pen does not clean the lenses at all, but rather increases the penetration of dust onto the lens.

Pros

Reversible design, quick and easy to use. Suede Activated Charcoal Powder is made from activated carbon powder without dispersing or drying. Comes with a filament brush, effectively removes fingerprints, smudges, dust and dirt on the lenses and screen.
