. I originally bought these shorts in a size small and they were so small I couldn't even put them on. So I changed them to medium. I did two rides with them, one on my mountain bike and the other on a motocross bike, about 20 miles each. So far these shorts are great. The padding feels a little tighter than my other pairs in the same price range. The thigh holes are comfortable and I haven't had any trouble lifting them yet. I washed them between these two trips and they felt the same after washing. I have to say that I didn't buy them for bags and I don't use them. Of course they don't bother you; they are barely perceptible. I would recommend these shorts. UPDATE: I've had these shorts for a few weeks now. I've worn them many times (at least 12 rides, 10-30 miles each) and they've worn down each time. They hold up superbly; now they are easily my favorite soft shorts that i own. I prefer them to some of my much more expensive pairs.
