This is a light bulb. If the old one blows, insert one of them. What more do you want? Depending on the lighting you are working with will determine how difficult it is to insert the bulb into the socket. I have a lamp that the holder pulls out for easy installation. I have another one where the base is attached to the back of the lamp body. A little harder. Remember DO NOT TOUCH THE LAMP'S EXTERNAL DEVICES, or it will burn out shortly after installation. I use tape turned around to loosen and pull out the old lightbulb. I put a new lightbulb in the same way. You'll have to play around with it to get it, but it will happen over time. If you accidentally touch the outside of the bulb, use a paper towel to saturate the end of the cloth with window cleaner, and then wipe the bulb clean. Make sure it's dry before turning it back on.
