As an avid scuba diver, I often dive in places where it is possible to get lost in the sea. I bought a Garmin inReach Mini to recover in this unlikely event. Unfortunately, I also wanted a way to carry it underwater that was safer than double folding a set of vacuum bags. Enter an official occasion. I can personally confirm! I have just returned from a 4 day diving trip to the Eastern Fields, a remote site about 50 miles off the coast of Papua New Guinea. I've done 12 dives to 48 meters and literally kept the case in my accessory bag the whole time (thanks to the transparent case only visual checks every day). Verdict? It works as advertised. The InReach was bone dry when I pulled it out of its case.
