Most handheld showerheads connect to the plumbing near the shower head, which is typically at least 5 feet from the bottom of the shower or bath. By default most handheld showerheads have a five foot hose and for me they are never long enough to really enjoy using a handheld showerhead. For those who have to use a shower chair to wash, the 5-foot limit is an even bigger problem. This special hose solves these problems easily and conveniently. In most cases, when replacing a hose, the connection on the water pipe and on the hand shower must be unscrewed. Fortunately, most are standardized in size, so this replacement tube usually fits easily. After screwing and tightening the connections with the new hose, you can start. The installation took me about 2 minutes. This hose has a stainless steel outer jacket but is designed to extend from the standard 80" length to a length of 120" which is sufficient for most shower needs. I had no leaks, no loss of water pressure, or any ill effects from the hose change. I would definitely order this product again should the need arise and have no hesitation in recommending it. This hose should be standard on most hand showers.
